The presentation of the game is kind of all over the place. I get what they were going for here, but the earlier parts of the game do have much less polish than the rest of them. One of the things that is most fun about Hitman is the way the game does not hold your hand. The maps in the game of which there are many have so many ways for you to take down your target.

You can try and take them out from a distance and just get the job done, or you can do a hugely convoluted plan that is so much fun when you pull it all together.

Completing challenges in a mission will award players with Mastery Points. Gaining enough mastery points will cause the player to earn a level of Mastery Level, with a total of 20 levels when playing on the "Normal" difficulty setting. As the player progresses through the 20 mastery levels, each level will earn players new items including new gadgets such as weapons, different types of poison and explosives, new agency pick-up locations, or new starting locations.
